If the first result is too busy, remove a lead instrument before lowering the tempo. A lofi track can be slow and still distracting when piano, guitar, vocal samples, rain, and percussion all demand attention. One harmonic anchor, one restrained rhythmic idea, and one texture layer is a stronger baseline.
Use both returned versions as a comparison. Listen for the loop boundary, melodic repetition, and whether any transient jumps out after several minutes. The better background track is not always the version with the most impressive first ten seconds; it is the one that remains comfortable on repeat.
The generator creates complete audio, not a guaranteed seamless loop. For a long study video or livestream bed, trim on a bar line and add a short crossfade in an editor. Do not claim an untouched generation loops perfectly until you have listened to its ending and tested the join.
Keep Instrumental on, reduce melodic movement, and use a steady soft groove that does not pull attention away from the task.
Ask for sparse midrange and subtle texture so narration remains intelligible; edit and loudness-balance the result before publishing.

Lofi Workbench compiles its controls into a V5.5 custom-generation recipe and sends the selected duration as a real target. It is still a generative music model, not a DAW: BPM, key, and textures guide the result, and loop-friendly structure does not mean a mathematically seamless file.
